• “ I was part of Har Ki Dun Trek From June 24 to June 30. It’s my first Himalayan Trek. I thought it would be an easy trek by seeing youtube videos regarding the trek. Also I was prepared for the trek with my best 37 min 5km jog. But it was all different during the trek. I realised that It’s not that easy as they show in youtube videos. Though it was doable with some patience n endurance. First n formost I would Thank MADHU from CLIMBON. His guidance n encouragement during the trek will remain with me for any treks I do in future. • “ This is my first outstation trek. In our group all are experienced trekkers and learnt from them. I enjoyed throughout the event and having great fun with co participants. • “ The event “ Exploration Trip to Mitte Waterfalls, Adilabad” was the most adventurous trip I had ever made. Wild Jungle With mesmerising water falls, flowing streams along with a group of wonderful people made by weekend very memorable. Wood fired dishes under bright moonlight with a clear unpolluted skies would be one of the dreams of any urbanite. Thanks to the organisers for arranging such a fun trip. • “ Did couple Treks in US and did a tour of Yellow Stone , Zion, Grand Canyon and went to India did Kudremukh moderate tough hike after the Sumit I was craving for tougher hikes but not much experience and I was wondering what next then luckily came across CLIMBON with help of a passionate nature enthusiast Gangadhar. I joined the CLIMBON BMC 1 week COURSE- Basic Mountaineering course. Staying in Kadthal forest lead by amazing instructors Dada Ashim Da (the topper or IMC) and an amazing instructor Sasikanth. They taught us all basics of Climbing , Rapelling , Knots , survival skills in forest , living in tents waking up at 5:30 am cooking for all team , coffee and leadership skills and lots of other things am unable to put in this review. This jump started my craving for climbing in a safe and well organised and taught me climbing is a subject needs discipline with safety as high priory and survival skills. met team of 9 including my brother who joined me from UK . • “ So I recently went to their one-night-out event planned @rachakonda and pallegotu waterfalls.. hope I got the name right), for 1000/- and I must say it was pure energy from different corners and paisa vassool! Thou things didn’t go as planned due to heavy monsoons, we couldn’t really spend as much time as we would like to.. the organisers didn’t call quits, they made sure we all had our great time, they immediately took detour to their other “adda” I would like to call it😉..@kadthal and gave us great rappelling experience in the rains from approximately 60ft ht.. the duo Sasi and his fan Dheeraj..the inseparable pair.. made every one was involved one way or another cracking up situational jokes… everyone was having a light time and truly enjoying eachother’s company…which is seldom possible in large groups like this… 25 team almost..we shared food in rain that curd rice and tomato rice with the entire team…was one of a kind experience!! • “ A leisure trip with ClimbOn at Kondapochamma Reservoir organized by Sasi/Sai/Dheeraj/Gayathri on 13/Feb. Another successful event with a lovely star gazing session conducted by Praveen, first time in my life did Ziplining and climbed tree with the help of a rope harnessed around. A beautiful eve followed by bonfire , barbeque & sumptuous food. A special mention to Anusha for her brilliant idea on setting up a decorative tent for Valentine special .Another well spent event…Kudos to team. Trek to Rachakonda on 21/Nov organized by Sidharth/Sasi/Dheeraj/Vamsi was my first Outing post lockdown. It turned out to be a beautiful adventure with all the members to mention other Praveen & Chaitanya where everyone has played an equally crucial role in making it a successful event. Starting from experiencimg the edgy waterfall to star gazing, night walks ,village food ,bonfire and fort exploration. • “ We have been to a camping trip at Kondapochamma Reservoir organized by Dheeraj, Sasikanth, and Sai Siddharth. It was a thoughtfully planned event, we first visited Saraswathi temple at Wargal and then headed to the farmhouse nearby where we pitched our tents and had a nice barbeque before our dinner. Post dinner we had a stargazing session and one of the hosts Praveen shared interesting insights about stars, planets, and how to identify north using stars in case one is lost. It was the night before Valentine’s day and there was a tent decorated with hearts which became our photo booth 🙂 In the morning we visited Kondapochamma reservoir, I must say it was a meditative experience looking at the morning sun over the reservoir, we took some memorable pictures and headed back to the farmhouse where we did the Ziplining activity which was like icing on the cake, we finished our trip with some great breakfast, overall it was a memorable experience. • “ Living in and facing nature in its raw form absolutely away from city life itself teaches kids a lot about realities of life in a very inside out manner. ClimbON provided a perfect setting for them to learn these. The camp activities were really liked and enjoyed by my daughter, esp rappelling and kayaking. The idea of making each kid a captain of their team for specific durations with constant feedback from team members is really good to inculcate confidence as well as team building, team work and leadership skills in kids. All team members of ClimbON including the camp manager put in a lot of effort to keep the kids safe, cheerful and not miss their comfortable homes much in such harsh environment, all while teaching them many new adventure and survival skills. • “ Event : Alang-Madan-Kulang trek Feb 20-24. by: Mr Vinay and Ms Jagruti I was waiting for AMK trek. ClimbOn was my natural choice as they gave me rappelling experience. Our 7 member team experienced long walks, steep climbs, nimble climbs on jagged rocks, huffing and puffing up high rise steps, absorbed breathtaking views, posed for crazy pics, set up the tents under clear starlit skies, bonfires, hot suppers, eerie calm on mountain tops, sunrises, breakfasts. We scaled 3 peaks of AMK in 2 days ! It was so much fun due to the wonderful camaraderie built up in the team from the beginning by Ms. Jagruti (from Hyderabad) and Mr. Vinay (from Pune). Needless to say, I came back with wonderful memories. Felt good when Mr Sasi called me personally to give guidelines. Take the AMK trek as it will test your endurance . • “ Trip to Medak Fort, Medak Cathedral and Pocharam Dam (26th October) : Everyone gather at BHEL crossed by 5.30 am and started at 6.00 am. The drive was really wonderful. I stopped at certain locations on my bike for taking some pictures. Reached Medak Fort. Trekked to the highest point. From here we can see the complete Pocharam village view. Then reached to Medak Cathedral by 11.50 am. Offered our prayers. Spent 30 minutes and had lunch at swagath restaurant nearby. By 2 pm we reached Pocharam Dam. And this was really a beautiful place. Played in the running waters for 1 and half hour. By 4.30 we reached the nearest deer park. I traveled inside the deer park in the event organizer Sasi Car. He had a good knowledge on wild life and explained most of the tour including Medak Fort , cathedral and Pocharam Dam. And return from their by 5.30 pm and reached our homes( Hyderabad) by 9.00 pm. It was early Monsoon June to watch the beautiful view of fire flies. Experience started with vehicle breakdown at middle of the Valley and there was no option for us to start trekking from middle of the jungle to explore the route to Rajmachi. Its around a 3 hr trek to the Rajmachi village. I made some great friends on this trip, I remember a night spending sharing all GHOST stories watching wonderful view of fire flies and all of sudden dog came and scared all of us. Fire flies welcome us to their home to watch them, was the feelings. I was very impressed with Niharika and Gaurav organiser from Climbon :blister patrol every morning, and after the completion of our first day’s hike, it was as if I’d known friends for years. There were many people from other group who were sleeping in sitting position. BTW challenges are part of life and especially treks. • “ I went to Kutch organized by ClimbOn , Organizer : Suman Kannaiahgari Dates : January 26-30,2017 For me, I was not a part of the team which started from Hyderabad. I had thought of a solo Trip to Kutch from Mumbai with no fixed plans. So I had absolutely no idea about this trip organized by Suman, till I googled about Kutch Trips over internet and Meetup Groups. I sent a message to Suman over the Whatsapp asking him whether I can join his group for the trip as the dates of trip were matching and I was already reaching Bhuj a day before they were arriving. Suman immediately replied Yes and the rest is history :)It is always told, a trip is awesome when you have your best buddies with you. Suman made sure that I am comfortable with the group, within one hour of meeting as I was the newcomer and joined them in Bhuj.
