Event Details

The Mitte Waterfalls, also known as Mithyala Falls, is a hidden gem surrounded by dense forests, offering a serene and offbeat experience with a small trek through nature. Not far from it, Pochera Waterfalls features a wide and multi-tiered cascade, easily accessible by road and perfect for a relaxed visit with family. The Gayatri Waterfalls, tucked deep in the forest, requires a scenic trek and is known for its untouched natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. Finally, Kuntala Waterfalls, the tallest in Telangana at around 147 feet, is the most popular among the four, attracting tourists with its grand drop and lush surroundings, making it a perfect end to this waterfall circuit.

Height of Waterfalls & Altitude:
1. Kuntala Waterfalls Height: Approx. ~150 feet tallest waterfall in Telangana, Altitude:(1935 feet) above sea level
2. Gayatri Waterfalls; Height: Approx. 60 feet, Altitude: Approx. (1640 feet) above sea level
3. Pochera Waterfalls; Height: Approx. (65 feet), Altitude: Approx. (1480 feet) above sea level
4. Mitte Waterfalls ; Height: About 100 feet, Altitude: Approx. (1640 feet) above sea level

Who Can Join: 18 to 50 years (Participants age below 15 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian).

Itinerary

Day 0
🗓️ Day 1: Hyderabad → Pochera Waterfalls → Mitte Waterfalls

05:00 AM – Depart from Hyderabad (approx. 6.5–7-hour drive, ~330 km)
* Breakfast en route
11:30 AM – Arrive at Pochera Waterfalls
* Explore the scenic, wide, multi-tiered waterfall
* Spend time relaxing and taking photographs
12:30 PM – Depart for Mitte base village
01:00 PM – Lunch at the base village (basic local meal, pre-arranged if possible)
02:00 PM – Begin the forest trek to Mitte Waterfalls
* Easy-to-moderate scenic forest trail
* Explore the waterfall and enjoy photography
04:30 PM – Trek back to the base village
06:00 PM – Check in to the campsite/local homestay
* Set up tents (if camping)
* Freshen up and relax

Things to Wear / Carry

Clothing
  • Comfortable track pants or trousers. Strictly no jeans or shorts.
  • 2 Sets of clothing, preferably long-sleeved.
  • Shoes with good sole grip are a must and extra pair of socks. Strictly no sandals or chappals.
  • Cap, hat, goggles, and sunscreen.
  • All-weather / Fleece / Down jacket (depending on weather)
  • Do not leave long hair open, especially for rappelling. Hair should not cover your face or eyes.
  • No jewelry, including finger rings or earrings.
  • Clip finger and toe nails to a comfortable length. Long nails are absolutely not allowed.

  • ✔️ Rucksack (30–50L) - main backpack for all essentials.
  • ✔️ Day Pack (10–20L) - for short hikes / daily use
  • ✔️ Government-issued Photo ID, Driving Licences, if Driving
  • ✔️ Plate, spoon, and personal water bottle
  • ✔️ Headlamp or torch with extra batteries
  • ✔️ Minimal snacks, energy drinks (ORS, Electral), and dry fruits for the hike.
  • ✔️ Sleeping bag or blanket.
  • ✔️ Basic medicines and personal medication
  • ✔️ Personal toiletries (towel, tissue, brush, sanitizer, etc.)
